Twelve months after receiving a hospital visit from Desmond Tutu in Cape Town, Clwyd West AM Darren Millar met the South African social rights activist and Archbishop yet again.
Darren met Desmond Tutu at a dinner in Cardiff last week as part of a tour by the Archbishop to promote development work in Africa.
Darren first met Desmond Tutu last November after being hospitalised with a broken ankle while on a Commonwealth Parliamentary Association visit to Cape Town.
Darren said:
“It is a privilege to meet one of the most influential spiritual leaders in the world once in your life so to meet him twice within a 12 month period is a real honour.
“Desmond Tutu played a pivotal role in the struggle against apartheid and helped to lay the foundations for the new South Africa we see today.
"He is a living legend and an inspiration to all and I'm delighted that he has taken the time to visit Wales once again."
