Christmas is a precious and exuberant time of the year for most. A time to not only celebrate the birth of Christ, but to also slow down from our fast paced lives and spend quality time with our loved ones.
But as we do so, it is important that we do not forget all those for who Christmas will not be so joyous; those spending Christmas alone, those who have lost loved ones and those battling illness. I urge you all to find time over the festive period to drop in on them – your visit could well make their Christmas.
We must also remember and give special thanks to all the service men and women who are unable to spend the Christmas period with loved ones, all those people who will be working in the emergency services, hospitals, power stations and all other essential services, and also those who sacrifice time with their own loved ones to do voluntary work in the community over the festive holiday.
At this important time of year for the Christian faith, I send my very best wishes to all my constituents celebrating Christmas – Nadolig llawen a blwyddyn newydd dda
