Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has welcomed news that a children’s group in his constituency has been awarded £10,000 of National Lottery funding.
Cylch Meithrin Bae Cinmel successfully applied to The National Lottery Community Fund and received the funding last month.
The project will use the grant to set up childcare play sessions, offering a Welsh language service to those who would not otherwise be able to attend due to rurality or low income.
Darren said:
“I am always pleased to hear of groups in my constituency benefitting from these Lottery grants and I am absolutely delighted that Cylch Meithrin Bae Cinmel has received this substantial sum to provide Welsh language play sessions to children who may not otherwise be able to access them. No child should be disadvantaged because of where they live or what their background is.
“The National Lottery Community Fund is the largest community funder in the UK. Each year they distribute millions of pounds of The National Lottery’s good causes money to community groups and charitable projects around the country.
