Leader of the Welsh Conservatives Darren Millar MS has criticised the UK Labour Chancellor Rachel Reeves for delivering a budget which will leave hardworking, responsible people out of pocket.
Commenting after the Autumn Budget was delivered in the House of Commons, Darren said:
"This is the nightmare before Christmas. The tax burden is rising to the highest levels . It's extra taxes on workers, pensioners, savers and investors, and businesses.
"It punishes personal responsibility and those who make an effort to prepare and plan for their own future.
"It's certainly not what we wanted to see. We wanted to see welfare spending come down, spending back under control, and taxes being cut in order to deliver the dynamic growth that the country needs.
"Only the Conservatives have a credible plan to fix our economy in Wales, and across the UK."
