Clwyd West MS Darren Millar was put under the spotlight when he digitally connected with children from a school in his constituency last week. 

Darren took part in the Digital Dialogue: Wales programme, delivered by the Politics Project, which works across the UK to connect schools and young people with their elected representatives through video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams.

Darren zoomed in to Ysgol Cynfran in Llysfaen and was asked an array of interesting questions by pupils.  

Speaking after the event, he said: 

“I always enjoy connecting with young people in Clwyd West and regularly visit schools throughout the constituency. Whilst it is nice to do this in person, the Digital Dialogue programme provided me with the opportunity to take a difference approach, which actually worked really well. 

“I was asked all sorts of questions by the young people, including questions about my work as a local elected representative, and my family life. 

“I also virtually introduced the school to my rescue dog Blue and we discussed animal welfare issues.

“It was good to see the children so engaged and I was impressed by their many and varied questions. 

“It was a very enjoyable session and I look forward to taking part in the project again in the future, and zooming in to more schools in Clwyd West!”
