A Ruthin business which is the world’s leading supplier of polymer stamps has been praised by two politicians who paid them a visit at their new premises.
Leader of the Welsh Conservatives and Clwyd West MS Darren Millar, along with Shadow Minister for North Wales, Gareth Davies MS, visited Lavinia Stamps on Well Street.
In 1992, Tracey Dutton formed a pottery business and focused solely on ceramics. However, in 2005, they started to experiment with polymer stamps and the rest is history.
Lavinia Stamps is now one of the world’s leading suppliers of polymer stamps with a national and global following to match.
Tracey uses her fascination for fairies, fantasy, flora and fauna as inspiration for her stamp designs.
The Lavinia palette is also extensively complemented by a multitude of other craft products including branded inks, sprays, glitters and mica products which, when combined with the collections of stencils, stickers, and other creative products enable the home crafter to produce beautiful and unique artwork.
Three times a year, Tracey and the Lavinia Stamps team open their doors and host Craft Extravaganzas. These unique events draw the Lavinia community together from far and wide and are wonderful opportunities for supporters and design team alike to meet face to face and inspire each other.
Commenting after the visit, Darren said:
“What Tracey has created at Lavinia Stamps is quite remarkable, I have never visited a business quite like it before.
“The Dreamatorium is a craft lovers paradise. After purchasing this beautiful Grade II listed local landmark in 2022, the dedicated team have spent almost three years carefully creating this impressive oasis.
“The Lavinia experience is a magical journey where you can learn a new skill and create enchanting artwork. If crafting is your thing, or you just fancy learning something new, I urge you to call into Lavinia Stamps - it’s a truly enchanting experience.”
Gareth said:
“I was delighted to visit Lavinia Stamps in Ruthin with the Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Darren Millar MS. The transformation of the building and level of investment to make it a formidable hub for arts and crafts is incredible.
“We’re very lucky to be in an area which can attract such investment, new ideas and a centre for people to visit from both near and far who are looking for something unique that cannot be found in mainstream retail.
“I would like to wish Tracey, Andrew and all the team the very best for the future and I hope their success continues.
“It is certainly worth a visit and I would highly recommend it to anybody.”
The Dreamatorium is situated on Well Street, Ruthin LL15 1AW.
