Commenting on the news that cancer patient Mr Keith Woods from Llanfair TH, has moved temporarily to England in order to access drugs which have been refused by the Welsh NHS, Clwyd West AM Darren Millar said:
“I'm very concerned at the growing gulf between the Welsh NHS and its counterpart in England.
“Cancer patients on both sides of the border should have access to the modern drugs they need in order to extend and improve their quality of life.
“My constituents deserve the very best treatment possible and it is disappointing that Mr Woods has had to go to these lengths in order to access the treatment which his consultants have recommended.
“The Welsh Health Minister must work with her UK counterpart to bring down barriers to care between Wales and England.”
