Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has welcomed news that two projects in Conwy have received a total of £83,745 from the National Lottery.
After successfully applying to The National Lottery Community Fund, Neuadd y Plwyf, Llannefydd, were awarded a grant of £73,750 to extend and renovate their Parish Hall in Llannefydd, while Ysgol Gynradd Cerrigydrudion were also successful in receiving a grant of £9,995 to develop a new play area enabling families to meet and socialise while their children play.
Darren said:
“I am delighted to hear of yet more projects in Clwyd West benefitting from National Lottery funding.
“The funding in Llannefydd will pay for a new building which will be fully accessible and available to all. The facilities will enable local community groups to flourish and develop their provision, increasing volunteers opportunities and alleviating the lack of public services available in the area.
“The grant for Cerrigydrudion will also boost community interaction by enabling families to come together. The money will fund play equipment and a fence.
“ I would like to congratulate both Neuadd y Plwyd and Ysgol Gynradd Cerrigydrudion on their successful Lottery funding applications and wish them every success with their projects.”
