Clwyd MS Darren Millar is encouraging unpaid carers in his consistency to help improve services for carers across Wales and the UK by taking part in the annual State of Caring survey.
Run annually by Carers UK, the survey is the UK's largest annual survey of unpaid carers, providing vital insight into the experiences, challenges, and priorities of people providing unpaid care.
The evidence gathered helps shape policy, influence decision-makers, and improve services for carers across Wales and the UK.
Encouraging unpaid carers to take part, Darren said:
“Unpaid carers make an invaluable contribution to families, communities and the wider health and social care system, but too often face significant challenges with little recognition.
“By completing the State of Caring Survey, unpaid carers can help highlight the realities of caring and influence the support and services that carers need.
“Whether you care for a family member, friend, or neighbour, your voice can help shape future policies and improve support for carers across the UK.
“I therefore urge people to take part in the survey, which only takes a few minutes to complete, and to also share it with other carers in their network.
“Together, we can ensure carers' voices are heard.”
The State of Caring Survey 2026 takes around 30 minutes to complete and is open until August 9th.
