UK Government support protects 7,500 jobs in Clwyd West

New figures have today shown that the UK Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) has protected 7,500 jobs in Clwyd West.

The Scheme was launched in April by the UK Government to pay 80% of a person’s wages to support businesses and employees through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Concern over North Wales mental health care beds

Clwyd West MS Darren Millar is calling for action from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the Welsh Government after a Freedom of information (FOI) request revealed that a high number of North Wales patients are currently placed in a mental health placement outside of Wales.

Call for Welsh Mountain Zoo to be safely reopened for locals

Clwyd West MS Darren Millar has sent a letter to the First Minister this week urging him to provide temporary financial assistance to Colwyn Bay’s Welsh mountain Zoo and to consider allowing the popular tourist attraction to safely reopen to locals at the end of the next lockdown review period.
