Clwyd West is a beautiful constituency situated in the heart of North Wales. In the north it incorporates some of the most popular seaside resorts in the country whilst to the south the outstanding scenery of the Vale of Clwyd and the Clwydian Range is breathtaking.
Stretching from Rhos-on-Sea to Kinmel Bay along the coast and inland to the market town of Ruthin and the surrounding villages and hamlets, Clwyd West is a large and diverse constituency. Tourism is the main industry in the North whilst agriculture still forms the backbone of the rural parts of the constituency.
The people of Clwyd West are as diverse as its landscapes, whilst many have settled here from elsewhere in the United Kingdom, Welsh is still the first language in many homes, particularly in the more rural areas.
