Commenting on the results of a staff survey by the British Medical Association – which concludes hospital doctors face being ‘bullied and harassed’ when raising concerns over patient care – Welsh Conservative Shadow Health Minister, Darren Millar AM, said:
“This survey raises clear concerns over staff welfare, which must be swiftly addressed by the Welsh Labour government.
“With recent serious cases of poor standards of care across Wales, it is crucial that frontline staff feel free to raise concerns.
“Those voices should never be silenced.
“The wellbeing of NHS staff should a top priority for Labour ministers and I urge them to work with the BMA to ensure staff welfare is improved.”
