Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has officially opened a new skate park which will benefit youngsters living in rural Denbighshire.
The grand opening of the Llanarmon and District Skate Park took place on Saturday and was attended by the local community and dignitaries.
Darren said:
“This skate park was the brainchild of the youngsters themselves who attend the Llanarmon Youth Club. Led by Dr Christine Evans and Glynys Jones they have brought their vision to life and helped create a facility in the local community which will be enjoyed for many years to come.
“I would like to congratulate them and all other members of the local community who have come together and worked hard to provide this skate park for the young people of Llanarmon and the surrounding areas.”
Cllr Martyn Holland said:
“I would like to thank the children for coming up with the idea and the Aggregates Levy, Denbighshire County Council and generous local people for funding the project.
“Saturday’s grand opening event was our way of saying thank you and publicising our great achievement for local and visiting children.”
