Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar is urging charities and community groups in Clwyd West to take advantage of £2.5m funding available to help people get work or set up a business.
Round 2 of the hugely successful RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) Skills and Opportunities Fund opened last week and is available to charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges.
The fund was initially launched in May last year and aims to make a difference in local communities. To date £1.25 million has been awarded to people in the UK and Ireland.
Darren said:
“The focus of this funding is to support organisations that help people in disadvantaged communities develop, create or access the skills and opportunities they need to help themselves; skills that will enable them to get into work or start a business, now or in the future.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and I urge all eligible organisations to apply.”
