Clwyd West Assembly Member Darren Millar has raised concerns about road safety in Llanbedr in the Senedd this week.
Darren is concerned that someone is going to be seriously injured or killed because of speeding traffic on the on the A494 in the village.
Raising the matter with the Transport Minister Edwina Hart AM he called for the speed limit along the road to be reduced.
Darren said:
“The current speed limit is inappropriate and we've seen too many accidents and near misses in recent years. Action must be taken as soon as possible to make the area safe. Residents of the village are very concerned and would like to see the speed limit reduced.
“As the A494 is a trunk road, the Welsh Government are responsible for speed limits in the area, which is why I am urging the Transport Minister to take action now before it is too late. Local residents have had to put up with this danger for far too long.”
