Plans to close Rhos paddling pool public conveniences have been scrapped.
In October last year, Conwy County Borough Council announced that the toilets would be closed and demolished if a third party couldn’t be found to take them over. The Council has now confirmed that these plans have now been shelved.
Darren Millar, Conservative Candidate for Clwyd West said:
“After months of campaigning, I’m delighted the Rhos paddling pool public conveniences will remain open.
“I have no doubt that the decision to keep these facilities open was made as a direct result of our campaign.
“I want to pay tribute to everyone who helped to fight to protect them, including local parents, grand-parents, supportive County Borough Councillors and especially those who gathered petitions.”
